Personal Predictions for the Next Bullrun

Navigating the crypto landscape during a bull run requires a keen eye for ecosystems that excel in both innovative “money printing” and compelling storytelling. Reflecting on the evolution of this space journey, it’s evident that at the genesis projects like Bitcoin, forks like Bitcoin Cash, SV, and Litecoin initiated the era of monetary innovation. Ethereum came and streamlined the process of token creation with ERC20 tokens, significantly enhancing the storytelling potential of crypto from peer-to-peer payments to the tokenization of various assets.

The last bull run saw the rise of the decentralized finance (#DeFi) boom, driven by liquidity mining and the emergence of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Notably, NFTs, with projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Axie Infinity, excelled in generating value through multiple NFTs and strategic drops.

One would agree that the key to the growth of these ecosystems is the incorporation of tokenomics that reward early users for their loyalty, employing mechanisms such as lockups, staking, and liquidity provision. The sustainability of the Ecosystem has always been argued to rely on the continuous influx of money and attention matching the exponential growth of new assets.

In the current bull run, these are the ecosystems with a new wave of technical innovations and captivating storytelling which I do think is taking center stage:

  1. The Injective ecosystem, with its upcoming airdrops to $INJ stakers and dApp users, exemplifies this trend.
  2. Similarly, the Kujira ecosystem, with $KUJI staking leading to airdrops like $ROAR, $MNTA, and $NTSK, showcases a similar approach.
  3. Solana’s ecosystem, though recently hit, is undergoing a rebuilding phase with projects like Jito Sol, Marinade Finance, and MarginFi preparing airdrops. Solana’s approach to scaling through a monolithic design sets it apart from Ethereum’s modular vision.
  4. The Celestia ecosystem is still under scrutiny, but the hope is for the expansion of the $TIA ecosystem as new applications and sovereign rollups are launched, making it a worthwhile investment.
  5. Liquid Restaked Tokens, as explained in the comments, are expected to benefit the price of ETH and increase yields, presenting an interesting opportunity.
  6. Looking ahead, Bitcoin DeFi & Bitcoin NFTs cannot be left out, with projects like Tap roots ordinals raising $7.5M in what they claim is an approach to “make Bitcoin cool again”.
Projects like Stacks, Ordinals, and BitVM, is poised to make waves in the future. These ecosystems are anticipated to outperform the market by creating new tokens, concentrating attention, and attracting funds.

While these ecosystems may have a learning curve for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) users, the ongoing success and proliferation of airdrop stories are likely to convert non-believers and attract new participants into the space.
